Cairngorm Leaf & Bean Coffee Roasters based on the A939, 7 miles from Grantown on Spey and 14 miles south of Forres, are now serving their artisan coffee in the Speciality Coffee Lounge at Dava School House.

Visit the restored 1854 School Room to enjoy the unique experience of tasting coffee with a difference served by the Master Roaster and owners Andy and Sharon.

Andy and Sharon select 100% Arabica beans for the Roastery, so coffee lovers can choose from premium single origin beans, carefully selected from the Americas, Africa and Sumatra to provide an interesting balance of flavour and nose, fabulous mountain wash decaffeinated and the locally renowned Café or Dava Blends. The coffee will be served with a difference as you choose from pour-overs, Chemex, filter or AeroPress all in keeping with today’s artisan coffee roasters and designed to give a different level of flavour and intensity

For non-coffee drinkers hot chocolate supplied by Cairngorm Leaf & Bean’s Scottish chocolatier partner, Alba Chocolate in Newtonmore will be available along with a selection of teas from Jenier World of Teas.

The coffees, hot chocolates and teas are offered with light lunches and a range of homemade accompaniments.

The Coffee Lounge offers an opportunity to ‘try before you buy’; whole beans or freshly ground coffee, to suit your specific requirement, will be available to purchase and enjoy at home.

    Opening hours: Thursday – Saturday, 10.30 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.
