At Caledonia Foot Clinic we aim to provide affordable, dynamic and high quality foot care to rural communities across the Scottish Highlands.
For residents in the Highlands the biggest barrier to adequate diabetic foot care is accessibility. The region’s vast and remote geography makes it challenging for residents, particularly those in rural communities, to access essential podiatric services. For many, the distance to the nearest clinic or hospital is prohibitive, leading to delays in seeking treatment. These delays can exacerbate foot problems, making complications more severe and, in some cases, irreversible.
Through our partnership with The Highland Consulting Room, we are able to draw on the knowledge and lived experiences of those who call the Grantown their home. This collaboration enriches our understanding of regional needs and enables us to deliver care that is not only medically sound but responsive and tailored. At Caledonia Foot Clinic, community voices help shape how and where we provide foot care—ensuring our services truly reflect the people we serve. We offer professional foot assessments and treatments for £40, delivered by HCPC-registered Podiatrist and Chiropodist Adam Wai-Man Lau BSc (Hons), BA (Hons), POM-A, POM-S, MRCPod. Adam combines clinical expertise with a compassionate, community-based approach to deliver trusted, high-quality foot care right in the heart of Grantown-on-Spey.
