The Grantown Hub

The Grantown Hub is a multi-discipline community hub, charity-owned and operated by The Grantown Society. Located in a prime position on the High Street, opposite the Spey Bank Gallery and adjacent to The Square, The Grantown Hub opened in August 2024. It has five key objectives:

• digital hub: promoting digital inclusion by offering superfast broadband access, hot-desking and co-working space, meeting and event space, and digital up-skilling for community members through the weekly Grantown Computer Club
• retail: complementing and supplementing Grantown’s existing High Street retail offering through the provision of pop-up shop opportunity and space, and shelf hire for artists, authors, crafters etc to display and sell their products
• community information: offering a large information display board, with a view to accessing and displaying any and all information that may be useful to the Grantown community, seeking to develop over time to be as much of a one-stop-shop as possible. The Grantown Hub has also launched the What’s On Grantown facebook page
• health and well-being: similar to above, over time The Grantown Hub is seeking to develop links with as many people and organisations as possible, in order to help provide access to a wide range of services and activities that can help contribute to the health and well-being of individuals and the collective community
• history and heritage: for over 50 years, The Grantown Society has been building an archive of information about the history of Grantown-on-Spey, and takes every opportunity to share this with interested individuals and the wider community.The Grantown Hub offers the opportunity to have a single home for this archive, and to present an opportunity for people to visit to explore this, and their personal / family history and heritage in the town.

The Grantown Hub is largely operated by a relatively small group of trustees and volunteers. We are always keen to speak with anybody that may be interested to volunteer any time to the operation of The Grantown Hub, even if this is just a couple of hours a week, or occasional.
