Grantown Cinema

Grantown Community Cinema is housed in a fantastic space in the Grantown YMCA building. With tiered seating, state of the art projector and surround sound, you don’t have to travel for miles to enjoy the cinema experience.

As a community project, first and foremost raising funds for the YMCA, we try to cater to as wide a range of film tastes as possible, from short half hour films with an activity and the lights up for our youngest viewers, old time classic black and white, sing-a-long favourites, recently released blockbusters and feel good films that never get old.

We sell our tickets online in advance as this gives us a good indication of how popular a film is going to be, but there are always tickets available on the door 1/2 hour before each film showing. We also have a licensed bar available for pre show drinks and snacks, and we run several one off events as well throughout the year.

The cinema room is available for hire for anyone who wishes to run a private event, i.e. parties, be they birthday parties for kids, or a get together for a film fest for adults, you can contact the YMCA directly for these bookings. The room has also hosted meetings from local businesses and organisations.
