Call for participants: Nature Walk for Science 20th July – 6th August 2018
July 2 @ 9:00 am - 6:00 pmFree
We are looking for people who would be interested in walking with us in Cairngorms National Park and be interviewed about their experiences of the Scottish Cairngorms nature .
(Our research is sponsored by INTERACT (https://eu-interact.org/field-sites/ecn-cairngorms/).
Excursions are free of charge (in fact, we’ll brings snacks and beverages for you!). They will leave daily, in mornings, afternoons and evenings between July 20th and August 7th, 2018 at a time to suit you.
In addition to an enjoyable excursion, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to science.
We offer two possible trails* and can arrange transport to and from the walk:
– Trail A: An easy pleasant walk in the Anagach woods and along the River Spey (1-3 hours);
– Trail B: A wilder, medium-level walk at the Allt a’Mharcaidh catchment, a little known valley close to Kincraig (3-4 hrs including transportation from Grantown on Spey direct to the start of the walk in a naturally regenerating Scots pine wood).
*If you wish to do both trails, that may also be an option.
If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please contact Dr. Yael Teff-Seker at email@example.com or Dr. Jan Dick, Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, Bush Estate, Penicuik, EH26 0QB firstname.lastname@example.org. Tel: 0131 445 8578
